CircleLuma provides voluntary location sharing for trusted circles. This policy describes location, membership, status and technical information used in that service.
Information Accessed And Processed
When enabled with permission, features may process precise location updates, shared address details, chosen zones, arrival or departure events, circle membership, invitation details, battery level and user-triggered SOS messages. Limited device model, Android and app versions, language, crash events and diagnostic information may also be processed to operate and maintain the App.
Permissions And Active Sharing
Location permission supports positions and place alerts. Background location is requested only where an implemented, user-enabled feature requires it, with the relevant disclosure and consent. Network access supports maps and sharing; notifications support alerts and visible sharing status. A location foreground service may maintain an active session while minimized. Permission denial or revocation can limit the corresponding function.
How Information Is Used
Information is used to display locations to approved recipients, provide place alerts, show shared battery context, deliver user-triggered SOS messages, maintain membership settings, diagnose faults and prevent abuse. Where analytics or advertising services are included, limited identifiers, interaction events and technical data may be handled under the providers' policies. Precise location is not sold or supplied for advertising.
Consent And User Control
Sharing must be understood and agreed to by participants. You choose your circle and can pause sharing, review membership, change permissions or leave. The App is not for covert tracking or surveillance. Stopping sharing stops new app sharing, but does not retract information already received by others. Clearing app data or uninstalling does not automatically remove server-side records; privacy requests can be made through support.
Sharing And Disclosure
Selected location and status information is transmitted to approved circle members; this service is not entirely local. Map, hosting, messaging, security and support providers may process information needed for their functions. Diagnostic, analytics or advertising providers may handle limited technical data where included. We do not sell personal location data. Disclosure may also occur where legally required or necessary to prevent abuse or protect rights.
Retention
Location updates, place events, circle settings and SOS records are retained only as reasonably needed for enabled features, security, support or legal obligations. Contact support for access or deletion requests. Previously delivered messages, recipient copies and system backups may remain under others' control.
Security
Reasonable technical and organizational safeguards help reduce unauthorized access, but no network or storage system is completely secure. Protect your device and review the people who can receive your updates.
Children And Lawful Participation
The App is not directed to children below the applicable legal minimum age. Where a minor lawfully participates, a parent or guardian must provide any required authorization and explain sharing clearly. Do not use the App to monitor anyone secretly or unlawfully.
